Altaic words

ayin -> ng / g
d -> r / l / t / ch / j
b -> m / p / n
q -> k / ch
g -> k / ch
v -> b / m
n -> l
z -> s / d / j
l -> n / j / r
m -> b
r -> l / j
t -> j / d
ts -> z / ch / l / t
th -> d / j / z / t / ch
ch -> k / g / j / h
sh -> s / t / ch / z / j
ph -> b / p

As mentioned on the Language section of the History page, I have a strong belief that the Altaic languages descend from Urartian and Ancient Hebrew. I don't use the phrase "so-called Altaic languages" any longer because it is pretty clear to me now that these languages all descend from a common ancestral origin. Rather than comparing them to each other, the better approach is to compare them to the original Hebrew, in which the Tanakh was written and for which we have countless research resources thanks the diligent preservation by the post-exilic Rabbis of the Southern Kingdom and James Strong, who compiled his infamous Concise Dictionary of the words in the Hebrew Bible.

I don't believe it is a coincidence that all the terms used for relationships within the family unit just happen to resemble the Hebrew counterparts. Words like "ab" (father), "em" (mother), "ach" (brother) and "achot" (sister), respectively becoming words like "apa", "eme", "aka", and "eka" in the Altaic languages. The reason these words are common in West, Central and East Asia is because these words descend from Ancient Hebrew from which all these languages descend. Hosea wasn't kidding when he stated that "the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered" (Hosea 1:10). Yisrael gave Ephrayim and Manasheh a blessing to become "a multitude in the midst of the earth" (Genesis 48:16) and it seems that this has indeed happened. Josephus in his Antiquities also makes mention that the tribes of the Northern Kingdom became an "immense multitude, and not to be estimated by numbers" remaining beyond the Euphrates. The identity of the descendants of the tribes of the Northern Kingdom has been hidden for millennia, but is now being revealed.

Having made the statement that the people speaking the Ural-Altaic languages are Cimmerian descendants, I thought I might as well try to validate this statement through an analysis of some of the words in those languages. In my survey, what I found was that the Tungusic languages resembled closest the original Hebrew phonemes, followed by the Turkic languages, then Mongolic languages, then Korean and finally Japanese. I had originally thought that being on the continent, the vocabulary of these languages would have undergone a greater level of permutation than Japan, given their closest proximity to other cultures and languages, but I was wrong. Japanese, being isolated from the continent, underwent a greater level of phonetic evolution than the counterparts on the continent. It would seem that the farther from the periphery one goes, the more the language diverges from the original. Logically, this makes sense. But I guess I was too focused on the Hebrew-Japanese link to see the broader spectrum of the family of languages and the preservation of the sounds that these languages retained. Semantically, the Japanese words to a very large extent still carry the same meanings as the original Hebrew words as they did three thousand years ago, but phonetically the sounds have undergone substantial transformation. One neat by-product of studying the Altaic words is that it makes it easier to trace back how the phonetic transitions were made from the original Hebrew words to what is now used today in Modern Japanese. One thing I do need to note though, is that there is a great deal of truncation or elision found in the Altaic words derived from the original Hebrew. Although, it seems they retained the Hebrew alphabet or derivatives thereof, it would seem they lost the Torah on their horseback journeys or perhaps when the priests were sent back to the territory of the former Northern Kingdom to teach the Samaritans the laws of the land, and so they lost their connection to the original Hebrew language of their ancestors resulting in the morpheme truncation we see in the Altaic words against the original Hebrew counterparts.

Apart from the vowel shifts the Northern Kingdom undertook with the Phoenician influence mentioned previously, as attested by Joshua Fox in his paper, A Sequence of Vowel Shifts in Phoenician and Related Languages (I would really like to dig into this more deeply at some point to validate to what extent these Phoenician vowels still persist in the Altaic languages), below are phonetic transitions I have found from Hebrew to Altaic, which has comparable resemblance to the mapping I did for the Japanese counterparts:

Hebrew consonant -> Ataic consonant
ayin -> ng / g
d -> r / l / t / ch / j
b -> m / p / n
q -> k / ch
g -> k / ch
v -> b / m
n -> l
z -> s / d / j
l -> n / j / r
m -> b
r -> l / j
t -> j / d
ts -> z / ch / l / t
th -> d / j / z / t / ch
ch -> k / g / j / h
sh -> s / t / ch / z / j
ph -> b / p

I've gone through over four hundred Altaic words and below is what I found. Now, you will notice for some words I have duplicates listed either for the Hebrew or Altaic word. The reason for this is that I haven't yet ascertained which was the original Hebrew word versus corresponding descendant Altaic word. So I put them all down. The sounds are close enough, so any of the permutations are plausible. But there are enough words in this list for me to say with relative confidence that the Altaic languages descend from Ancient Hebrew. The other thing I noticed in going through this exercise is that even in the Hebrew Bible itself we find sound evolution or them same word being spelt in multiple ways but all having the same semantic meaning. And without further ado, here's the list:
