I'm still working on the Hebrew to Japanese mapping for the names, but here are the ones I've attempted to date:

Reuben -> (ho)ra-wono(ko) = look! a son (ほら、男の子)
Levi -> yufu = bind, fasten, attach (結う)
Simeon -> sumasu = listen carefully, be heard (澄ます)
Yehuda -> ihai-uta = song (of praise) (祝い謳)
Dan -> danzuru / tone = judge (断ずる / 刀禰)
Naphtali -> nashitogeru = accomplish (成し遂げる)
Gad -> kazu = numbers, a troop (数)
Asher -> ureshii = happy (嬉し)
Issachar -> isakau = fight back (諍い)
Zebulun -> sumeru = dwell, live at (住める)
Yoseph -> yoseru = to add (numbers) (寄せる)
Benyamin -> minami = south (南)

Leah -> yowai = weak (弱い)
Rachel -> yahara = soft, gentle, tender (柔ら)
Bilhah -> obiheru = be frightened (怯える)
Zilpah -> chiro = trickle (ちろちろ) or chirashi = scattering (散らし)

Manasseh -> monowasure / minaoshi = forgetfulness / reconsideration (物忘 / 見直し)
Ephraim -> umeyo / ihare = be fruitful, origin (生めよ / 謂れ)

Esau -> gasa = rough (to the touch) (がさがさ)
Ya'qob -> oikomu / hikikomu = drive, chase, force, push, charge / pull in, drag in (追い込む / 引き込む)
Yisrael -> ooseru = to succeed in doing, to manage to do, to finish doing (遂せる)

Yits'haq -> azakeru = scoff, laughing at, make fun of (嘲る)

Avraham -> oya-moro / oya-hiromu = forefather of many / aggrandizing father (親諸 / 広める-親)

Moshe -> mochi-izu = draw out (持ち出ず)

Yehoshua -> yosuga = rely on, aid, means, someone to rely on (縁、因、便)
