suru is a special verb in the Japanese language. It is used to turn Kanji (Sino-origin) based nouns into verbs. It is also considered an irregular verb because the conjugations do not follow the standard pattern for Japanese verbs. This irregularity reflects the roots of this word's origin in the Ancient Hebrew.

e.g.
asit and asitah are respectively the male and female perfect tense forms (i.e. did) of the word asah (to do) in Ancient Hebrew. This form became shita in Japanese.

The imperative form se in Japanese confroms the the Urartian pattern of attaching an "-e" to the stem of the verb.

Likewise, the conversion of the infinitive form of asah in Japanese follows the Urartian pattern of attaching a "-u" to the stem of the verb. Hence the infinitive form su. This eventually became suru when the verb conjugations pattern of attaching -ru to the end of the verb got standardized in the LMJ period.
